De Vere GORSE HILL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Frankie & Greg
After meeting Frankie and Greg before the big day, I felt excited to be involved. I was pleased to see the new layout at the De Vere Gorse Hill in Woking, which had changed quite considerably since I last visited.
On the day Greg was in good spirits, all smiles, which was great to see. I don’t think anyone was quite prepared for the downpour of rain that was to come. It rained heavily but slowed down just in time for the ceremony. There were some lovely moments to capture throughout. It was obvious how much family means to both Frankie and Greg. I’ve loved looking back at the images from this part of the day.
Thankfully, the rain had really calmed down, which was all we needed for the confetti run and following celebrations of the day. There was a lot of humour throughout the speeches. It was great seeing images from the past projected on the screens, reminding me of how wonderful photography can be at helping people preserve memories of the past. As always with speeches, once they are over, the people that have done them can finally relax and enjoy the evening celebrations.
There was a lovely atmosphere as the light from the day faded. It was nice seeing the outdoor area lit up which created a warm and homely feel for friends and family to enjoy. My evening ended with the dance floor and a quick chat with Frankie’s mum and finally a goodby to Frankie and Greg, who looked so happy with how the day had turned out. It was a wonderful wedding to be a part of. Enjoy watching this highlights slideshow and viewing some of my favourite images.
