Gate Street Barn
Charlotte & Tom
I’ve always enjoyed photographing at Gate Street Barn, one of my favourite wedding venues in Surrey. My work on the day started with Charlotte and her bridesmaids. Charlotte had been behind the creation of not only her own wedding dress but her bridesmaids’ dresses too. The effort that must have gone into it alongside organising the wedding day itself is something to be admired. I also loved seeing the beautiful flowers and decorations that added to the lush colours I felt captivated by. In the morning I was able to move from Charlotte’s bridal room to be with Tom’s friends and family as they were getting ready. As a photographer my focus is mainly on the love and connection between people, but I really liked the boutonnière on the guys’ jackets and the pocket square was a really nice touch, adding to a really stylish looking outfit. Anyway, then it was time for the ceremony where I remember it was particularly nice to hear both Tom and Charlotte’s mums’ readings. We then headed outside for some confetti shots. Shortly after Charlotte and Tom spent time with their guests before the wedding breakfast, speeches and first dance. It was a lovely day to be a part of, and I hope these images bring the wedding day to life in the many happy years to come!
